Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

(b) John D. Currier, Jr., Chief Operating Officer - Life Companies of FBL Financial Group, Inc., resigned his position on May 7, 2014, effective immediately. Mr. Currier resigned for personal reasons, which are unrelated to FBL Financial Group’s insurance operations or business outlook.

Mr. Currier served as Chief Operating Officer - Life Companies since March 2014 after joining FBL Financial Group in June 2013 as Chief Actuary. A search for his successor is underway.
