(b) On October 19, 2017, 8x8, Inc. (the "Company") eliminated the position of Senior Vice President of Global Sales, previously held by Puneet Arora. Mr. Arora continues to be employed by the Company in the position of Special Advisor to the CEO.
8.01 Other Events.
On October 19, 2017, the Company issued a press release announcing the hiring of Samuel Wilson as Senior Vice President, General Manager of Small Business and eCommerce; the hiring of Scott Sampson, as Senior Vice President of Global Midmarket and Enterprise Sales; and the new Special Advisor position of Puneet Arora, formerly Senior Vice President of Global Sales. A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
