On July 17, 2008, the Company provided the following statement in response to an inquiry from the Korea Exchange asking the Company to clarify media reports regarding the Company’s possible acquisition of a major U.S. mobile telecommunications operator. “The Company is exploring various business opportunities in the U.S. market. However, the Company is not seeking to acquire a controlling interest in any major U.S. mobile telecommunications operator. The Company will provide a further status update within six months. In addition, the Company will continue to make any additional disclosures required by applicable regulatory and disclosure rules.”
