On March 31, 2009, FBL Financial Group issued a news release announcing that its online annual report for 2008 is now available on its website at http://www.fblfinancial.com/2008AnnualReport/. The online annual report for 2008 includes a video letter to shareholders and financial highlights as well as links to the financial statements and the proxy statement.  

The news release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and a transcript and materials from the online annual report are furnished as Exhibit 99.2.
