On December 14, 2012, Consumers Energy Company (Consumers Energy), the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy Corporation, announced that it plans to pursue building a major new natural gas-fired power plant in Genesee County, Michigan.
A Consumers Energy News Release making this announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
