“América Móvil obtains license in Costa Rica”

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, January 7, 2011 -- América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (“AMX”) (BMV: AMX; NYSE: AMX; Nasdaq: AMOV; LATIBEX: XAMXL), announced today that the offer submitted in the public auction for the provision of wireless services in Costa Rica was accepted. The 70 MHz spectrum license obtained by AMX subsidiary Claro Costa Rica is for a term of 15 years. AMX expects to begin operations in Costa Rica during 2011.
