Mark D. Ketchum has resigned as a director of Hillenbrand Industries, Inc. effective May 31, 2007. Mr. Ketchum has not advised Hillenbrand of any disagreement with Hillenbrand on any matter relating to Hillenbrand's operations, policies or practices. Rolf A. Classon will replace Mr. Ketchum as Chairman of the Compensation and Management Development Committee of Hillenbrand's Board of Directors.
