Other Events.
 
On February 27, 2008, EMCORE Corporation (the "Company”) received a letter from the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement dated February 26, 2008 (the “Letter”), stating that the staff has completed its investigation of EMCORE Corporation regarding the Company’s historical stock option granting practices.   The Letter further advised the Company that the staff of the Division of Enforcement does not intend to recommend any enforcement action against the Company.
