ITEM 8.01     Other Events

On May 31, 2005, Southern Missouri Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company"), parent company of Southern Missouri Bank and Trust Co., completed the sale of approximately 9 acres of land in Poplar Bluff, Missouri for approximately $3.5 million in cash. The land was part of the 13 acres acquired in November 2004. The Company expects to use the majority of the remaining land for future expansion needs. The sale was consistent with the Company's disclosed intentions when it originally acquired the property in November 2004, as reported by the Company in its Current Report on Form 8-K furnished on November 23, 2004.
