Item 5. OTHER EVENTS.
Hillenbrand Industries, Inc. announced that it has completed the open market purchase of approximately $47 million of longer maturity, high coupon debentures for a price of approximately $55 million. The purchase of these debentures will result in an after-tax charge in the current quarter of approximately $4.0 million, or $0.06 per fully diluted share. This announcement is more fully described in the press release provided as Exhibit 99 to this Current Report on Form 8-K. The contents of such Exhibit are incorporated herein by reference.
