On April 28, 2006, Lancaster Colony Corporation issued a press release announcing its results
for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2006. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.

that it is exploring a number of strategic alternatives, including potential divestitures, among
its non-food operations.
