Item 8.01 Other Events
     On March 23, 2007, Lancaster Colony Corporation, (“the Company”) sold substantially all the net operating assets of its automotive accessory business located in Wapakoneta, Ohio. This transaction results from the Company’s ongoing exploration of strategic alternatives among its nonfood operations. It is estimated that this transaction will result in a pretax gain of approximately $1 to $2 million.
     A copy of a press release issued by the Company announcing the transaction is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
