J Mado, a Latin pop artist from the Rio Grande Valley, releases his single “Despegó,” a high-energy single along with an accompanying video.  

J Mado’s music and videos, which will be both streaming on digital music services as well as available on his YouTube channel, will present a new and exciting sound to many listeners, a fast-moving upbeat reggaeton style.

He’s already created a strong fan base of English-speaking and Spanish-speaking listeners with singles such as “Nenas” featuring friend and collaborator VEDO

J Mado was born in McAllen, where he was raised by his grandparents and uncle.

Although he has always been interested in singing and performing, he waited until he earned a business degree from South Texas College before launching his musical career as an independent artist, starting by creating his own label, “I AM JMADO Records.”   

He’s been excited to create new music, get more people hearing it, and seek more collaborations.

For his latest video for “Despegó,” he worked with the award-winning filmmaker Peter Parkkerr as director. 

Later this year, J Mado plans to release an EP that he is specially crafting for his fans and followers before its release.
