Orlando, Fla. - March 24th, 2025 - Codex Labs, a biotech company that offers Skin-Gut-Brain-Biome Supplements & Skincare, participated in the 2025 American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting. The world's top dermatologists, researchers, and skincare industry experts gathered for the flagship event in dermatology on March 7-11 at the Orange County Convention Center to share groundbreaking discoveries in skin health.
Codex Labs was founded by Dr. Barbara Paldus, a scientist and entrepreneur with a Ph.D. from Stanford University. With over 50 United States patents issued to her portfolio, Dr. Paldus has dedicated her professional life to developing biotechnology, climate science, and dermatology innovations. Codex Labs emerged through collaboration with dermatologists and ethnobotanists to create affordable solutions that demonstrate clinical effectiveness while preserving skin microbiome harmony and sustainability.
“At Codex Labs, we are dedicated to offering scientifically supported, effective, microbiome-friendly products that help address widespread skin issues,” says Dr. Paldus. “We were delighted at the significant level of interest, especially by younger dermatologists, for our OTC plant-based biotech products benefitting patients with eczema or acne.”
Throughout the five days of the AAD conference, Codex Labs led an exhibit space to interact with the world’s leading dermatologists, skincare professionals, and all other conference attendees. Those in attendance received gift bags that featured products from “Ditch the Itch” and “Gut Your Acne,” two clinically supported inside-out regimens that help patients with eczema and acne by supporting the skin-gut axis. Those who visited the Codex Labs’ booth will also have a chance to try the new BIA eczema lotion and learn about the products from Dr. Paldus and Dr. Jessica Maloh, a naturopathic practitioner on the team.
“We are excited to introduce our novel skin-gut solutions to the medical community. We have achieved substantially better results with a topical-supplement combination than with topicals alone,” says Dr. Paldus. “We believe that this first AAD show is the beginning of bringing an integrative approach to mainstream dermatology, and we have definitely noted the growing awareness and interest in data-driven, root cause analysis for inflammatory skin conditions.”
As the most influential dermatological conference worldwide, the AAD Annual Meeting included advanced research studies, practical training sessions, and platform opportunities for industry representatives to meet. Thousands of visitors came from worldwide to attend, making this event a central point for dermatological solutions, treatment improvements, and skin health research.
Codex Labs was honored to participate in the AAD Annual Meeting and appreciative of the connections and partnerships the team was able to form with other industry leaders.
