The former CEO of Blue Origin joins Seurat to take scalable 3D metal manufacturing to new heights.
WILMINGTON, MA / ACCESS Newswire / January 17, 2025 / Seurat, the scalable 3D metal printing leader, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Smith to the Seurat Board of Directors, effective January 2025. Mr. Smith will be Seurat's fourth board member and its first independent board member.

Mr. Smith, the former CEO of Blue Origin, successfully led the company's transformation from a research-focused organization to a fully operational business. Before his tenure at Blue Origin, he spent 13 years at Honeywell Aerospace, where he held various leadership positions, ultimately serving as Chief Technology Officer and President of a $4B business.

Mr. Smith also served as Chairman of the Board of "Club for the Future" and the operating company of Sandia National Labs, is a Fellow of both the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society, and was selected for the National Space Council User Advisory Group by Vice President Pence in 2018 and Vice President Harris in 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, an S.M. in Engineering and Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, an S. M. in Engineering from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas.
