Marquis Who’s Who Honors Neil Davis for Expertise in the Field of Law

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / January 31, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who has honored Neil Davis for his expertise in the field of law. For more than 45 years, Mr. Davis has dedicated himself to the practice of law, specializing in family law, divorce, child support, custody matters, alimony and more while largely being self-employed. Since his childhood, Mr. Davis wanted to be a lawyer. During a period of extended sickness, he watched the McCarthy hearings on television every morning, an experience that inspired him to one day become a lawyer.

The Path to Earning His Education

In pursuit of a degree in law, Mr. Davis first earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the College of the Holy Cross in 1968, only to be drafted alongside most of his class. For two years, Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army as a legal clerk, after which time he enrolled in the Suffolk University Law School to earn a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1975. During this time, Mr. Davis acted as an office manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1971 to 1976.

Mr. Davis' Career in Law

After achieving his law degree, Mr. Davis quickly became an attorney at law for the Legal Aid Society in Worcester working for those who needed legal help the most.

In a 13-month period, he brought 356 cases to judgment, an achievement of which he is proud to this day. Thereafter, he worked for the firm of Norman and Weihrauch from 1977 to 1981. He then joined the firm of McGuire and McGuire where he remained until 1998. Mr. Davis subsequently began a solo practice, employing many associate attorneys, a role which he has occupied ever since.

Serving as a Self-Employed Attorney

As a lawyer, Mr. Davis attributed his ongoing success to never giving up; he will pursue a case until it is finished. He has great determination and a drive toward success but is always compassionate toward his clients. In his chosen field of family law, which often deals with challenging custody cases, compassion is of the utmost consideration and Mr. Davis always performs his duties with this fact in mind.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit Massachusetts, Mr. Davis was in court daily. During this troubling time, the state decided to shut down the courts. As a self-employed attorney, this was a challenging time for Mr. Davis. Regardless of the difficulty, Mr. Davis remained dedicated to the practice of law, continuing to pursue his passion even today.

Looking to the Future

Mr. Davis enjoys simple pleasures such as reading, watching movies and taking walks in his free time. While he has remained dedicated to his passion of practicing law, Mr. Davis anticipates that he will likely want to retire in the next five years in order to focus on his health. That said, his career achievements have had a significant impact on the lives of many.
