The Foundation for Post Conflict Development Launches Giving Tuesday Campaign to Strengthen Peaceful, Resilient Futures Worldwide

A global call to support maternal health, youth empowerment, and community resilience through Giving Tuesday contributions toward long-term peacebuilding.

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / December 2, 2025 / The Foundation for Post Conflict Development (FPCD) announces the launch of its 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign, inviting supporters worldwide to help strengthen futures for communities recovering from conflict.

For more than two decades, FPCD has delivered programs at the intersection of maternal health, youth empowerment, community-led development, and long-term peacebuilding. The organization's longest-running partnership in Timor Leste has contributed to sustainable development and remains a reference point for community-driven post-conflict recovery.

Supporting High-Impact Community Programs

Giving Tuesday donations directly support:

• Safe maternal health initiatives expanding access to skilled care for women and newborns.
• Youth empowerment programs providing education, leadership development, and employment opportunities.
• Community-led development projects centered on resilience, sustainability, and local ownership.
• Enduring partnerships in Timor Leste that advance peace and stability through long-term collaboration.

Featuring The Peace Cookbook: Culinary Diplomacy in Action

This year's campaign highlights The Peace Cookbook, developed in collaboration with FPCD and authored by Wheeler del Torro, a culinary envoy whose work explores the connection between food, culture, and peacebuilding. The cookbook features a foreword by Prince Albert of Monaco, emphasizing the role of shared meals in fostering dialogue, building trust, and strengthening social cohesion in post-conflict communities.

As a Giving Tuesday incentive, donors contributing $100 or more will receive an early digital release of the Timor Leste chapter of The Peace Cookbook, offering insight into the flavors, traditions, and stories of one of the world's youngest democracies

Leadership Statement

"Giving Tuesday is more than a moment of generosity - it is an invitation to help build foundations for peace," said a spokesperson of FPCD. "Every contribution directly supports women, young people, and local communities working toward stability, opportunity, and resilience."

A Global Movement for Peace and Community Resilience

Giving Tuesday continues to be one of the largest global days of giving, inspiring millions to support transformative impact. Contributions to FPCD help ensure that women receive life-saving care, youth are equipped with opportunity, and communities emerging from conflict have tools to build lasting peace.
