Lincoln International adds John McClure as Managing Director

Enhances Firm’s Advisory Capabilities in the Rapidly Evolving Automotive Technology Space

Lincoln International, a leading global investment banking advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of John McClure as a Managing Director in the firm’s automotive and truck sector, a sub-vertical in Lincoln’s Industrials Group. John brings extensive experience advising clients on strategic mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to capitalize on the myriad opportunities created by technology’s impact across the automotive sector. John will be based in Lincoln’s San Francisco office.

John brings to Lincoln more than 20 years of senior experience in the automotive sector, in both management and advisory roles to clients. His background includes originating and executing M&A transactions in the investment banking arena as well as leading corporate strategy at two Fortune 250 companies.

“While technology continues to transform every sector of the economy, automotive in particular is operating across the past, present and future,” said Sean Bennis, Managing Director and co-head of Lincoln International’s U.S. Industrials Group. “The integration of technology across the automotive spectrum is creating both opportunities and complexity.”

Robert Satow, Managing Director and co-head of the firm’s global automotive and truck team, continued, “John’s deep expertise will be immediately complementary to our leading global team of automotive M&A advisors. We’re thrilled he is bringing that knowledge to Lincoln.”

Prior to joining Lincoln, John was Vice President Global Growth & Business Development at Arrival where he led business development and global go-to-market activities. John previously was a Managing Director at Nomura Greentech where he led electronics and auto tech investment banking, and before that was a Managing Director & Global Head of Electronics and Auto Tech at RBC Capital Markets. Prior to banking, John held senior strategy and corporate development roles at Intel, Applied Materials and Philips Electronics.

John commented, “I am excited to be joining Lincoln and adding to the firm’s strong track record in the auto industry and helping clients identify connections that drive them closer to their strategic goals.”
