New product combines speed of AI with precision of visual editing, enabling builders to create applications visually or conversationally—without sacrificing control
Bubble, an AI visual development platform for building web and mobile applications, today announced the launch of Bubble AI Agent, now available in beta to all users globally. The new product allows users to build production-grade applications by dragging and dropping elements in the platform's editor or making changes conversationally with an AI agent—delivering AI speed without compromising developer control.
Solving Critical Limitations in AI Coding Tools
Bubble AI Agent addresses key challenges that builders face when using AI coding tools for production applications. Current AI coding platforms have significant limitations around editability, code quality, security and reliability for end users. A recent survey of Bubble builders found that only 9 percent use AI coding tools for business-critical applications, while 72 percent have concerns about security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code.
Bubble solves this problem and brings a new era of software creation to life by combining the speed of AI-powered development with the precision and control of visual editing.
"Developers want the speed of AI code generation, but they can't risk compromising the quality and security of their production applications," said Emmanuel Straschnov, co-CEO of Bubble. "Bubble AI Agent gives you both—AI speed and complete control over your vision, from design to backend functionality."
How Bubble AI Agent Works
Bubble AI Agent enables users to build applications through two complementary approaches:
- Visual editing in Bubble's editor for complete control over design, backend logic, and functionality
- Conversational editing with Bubble AI Agent using natural language prompts
Users can seamlessly switch between both methods while maintaining full visibility and control over their application. The agent is currently available in beta for all AI-generated apps on the platform.
“We've solved one of the fundamental challenges in AI-assisted development: maintaining transparency and control,” said Josh Haas, co-CEO of Bubble. “Every change Bubble AI Agent makes is visible in our editor, so builders can understand, refine, and improve their applications at any level of detail.”
Product Roadmap for Q4 2025
Alongside Bubble AI Agent, the company announced several upcoming releases:
- New Property Editor with enhanced design and integrated AI capabilities
- In-app purchases for mobile apps, making Bubble the only no-code platform with this capability built in
- Bubble Security Dashboard (formerly Flusk) integrated directly into the platform
- Redesigned Experts Hub for finding agencies, coaches, and freelancers
- Refreshed Bubble Academy with progress tracking and personalized recommendations
Bubble is also modernizing its CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) deployment pipeline to enable faster shipping and improved platform reliability.
In the past year, Bubble has launched an AI app generator for web and mobile apps, a new workflow tab as the foundation for upcoming features, native mobile apps now powering over 180,000 applications, and database improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
AI Hackathon with Anthropic
To celebrate the launch, Bubble announced an AI hackathon in partnership with Anthropic, offering $25,000 in prizes. The hackathon invites builders to experiment with Bubble AI Agent and showcase applications built using the combined power of AI prompting and visual editing.
