AttackIQ Appoints Pete Luban as Field Chief Information Security Officer

Longtime AttackIQ customer and security leader joins to guide product roadmap, strengthen practitioner engagement

AttackIQ^®, the leading vendor of Adversarial Exposure Validation (AEV) solutions and founding research partner of the MITRE Center for Threat-Informed Defense (CTID), today announced it has appointed Pete Luban as Field CISO. In this role, Luban will lead executive engagement with security leaders, bringing a practitioner’s perspective to help organizations better align their defenses with real-world threats.

Luban brings more than 25 years of cybersecurity experience to AttackIQ, having led security and risk functions at global organizations across the finance and technology sectors. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Cybersecurity and IT Risk at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a global asset manager with over $800 billion in assets under management. His career includes roles at Bridgewater Associates, Netflix, Google and Yahoo!, with deep expertise in risk management, security engineering and operations.

Luban joins AttackIQ at a pivotal time, following the launch of its AEV platform. As a longtime customer, he brings first-hand knowledge of the platform’s value and the challenges security leaders face in implementing threat-informed defense programs. As the company deepens its alignment with the Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) framework, Luban will help shape AttackIQ’s roadmap and represent the practitioner perspective as security teams seek more effective, risk-based approaches to defense.
