Multi-Gig Internet Access Arrives in Madison County to Power Homes and Businesses

Comcast has completed a major network expansion to connect thousands of homes and businesses in northeast Madison County, Mississippi to reliable, high-speed, symmetrical Internet from America’s smartest and most reliable converged network. For the first time, residents and businesses can access Xfinity Internet, mobile, entertainment, and security services – all in one simple, seamless solution – delivering more speed, savings, and control over their connected lives.

The project was made possible through a $4.8 million grant from Madison County, a $4.9 million grant from the State of Mississippi and a $7.6 million investment from Comcast.

To mark the start of the project in 2024, Comcast hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at Sulphur Springs Park in Canton with Madison County officials and community partners. During the event, Comcast presented a $10,000 grant to the North Madison County Economic Development Council to support the creation of a mobile computer lab for students, small business owners, and seniors to build essential digital skills.
