Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, where she trained at The Gaiety School of Acting, The Lir Academy, and now residing in New York City, where she graduated from the Film & Television program at The New York Conservatory For Dramatic Arts, emerging actress and film creator Malena Boylan is taking the entertainment world by storm.
As an up-and-coming actress, Boylan has been featured in a long list of films, television shows, theatrical productions, commercials, and social media pieces such as ‘CJs Grill’, ‘Don’t Break Character’, Catriona Rubenis-Stevens’ adaptation of ‘Promising Young Woman’, ‘Aisling and Michelle’, ‘What We Improvise in the Shadows’, ‘The Addams Parody’, and ‘ A Sketch of New York’. She was recently featured on TikTok @ramenonthestreet in two videos, “Bravery is doing something even through you are scared” and “I don't need to be liked by every single person I know”.
As a film creator, Boylan’s credits include having Final Reel 2024 screened at the SVA Theatre on May 19, 2024, and being named Best 1st Time Producer at the New York International Film Awards. Her film ‘Happy Even After’ was a finalist in six categories and won three categories - Best Web Series, Best Actor, and Best Acting Duo - at the same festival. Her film ‘Reach’ received the EMA Silver Seal with Boylan as Sustainable Production Lead.
Boylan and Antwon Brooks are the co-creators of the series ‘Don't Break Character’. Boylan has starred in, written, directed and produced this series, which will be screened at The Producers' Club Theatre on June 14th 2024
