When songwriter Stefan Blomqvist heard Dasha’s “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’),” he loved the catchy drama — but he couldn’t help thinking: “There’s gotta be another side of this story.”
So he wrote “Coming Right Back,” the debut single from Steph Upper Lip, told from the male point of view.No ghosting. No betrayal. Just a broken truck, bad timing — and a guy who’s actually coming right back.
Steph Upper Lip is a new Swedish country-rock powerhouse created by Blomqvist, frontman of Classic Rock band Black Paisley. It’s a passion project he’s wanted to make for years, and the moment he connected with Nashville producer John Kennedy (LeAnn Rimes, etc.), the timing was perfect.
Written by Blomqvist and tracked in Nashville, the upcoming album delivers rockin’ country in the spirit of Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton and Corey Kent.
