-- KFI AM 640’s 15th annual Pastathon—hosted by Los Angeles’ #1 talk radio station—raised nearly $1.3 million and collected 93,406 pounds of pasta and sauce for Caterina’s Club. Founded 20 years ago by Sir Bruno Serato, the nonprofit provides 25,000 meals each week to those in need. Key contributors to this year’s success include event partners Smart & Final, Wendy's, Yaamava Resort & Casino, Wild Fork Foods, and Giving Machines of Southern California.
In hopes of collecting additional donations, Giving Machines of Southern California will continue collections through the end of the year at San Clemente Outlets, Tyler Mall in Riverside, and Old Town San Diego. Also, direct donations to Caterina’s Club can also be made by visiting caterinasclub.org, mailing a check to Caterina’s Club headquarters (50 S. Anaheim Blvd. #251, Anaheim, CA 92805), or calling (657) 201-3278.
The success of this year’s milestone Pastathon may reflect the growing demand for food assistance programs like Caterina’s Club, as many families face reductions in SNAP benefits.

Founded in 2005 and named after Serato’s beloved mother, Caterina’s Club has earned international recognition for its humanitarian work. Serato has been featured in People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, Entertainment Tonight, EXTRA, and Access Hollywood. Among his honors are CNN Hero, knighthoods from the Italian government and the House of Savoy, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, a papal blessing from Pope Francis, and numerous other awards and proclamations—all accepted to raise awareness for Caterina’s Club.
