Virginia Landowners Invited to Investigate their Property's Potential for Solar Power Projects in Person

By: PRLog

All landowners and communities across Greater Virginia can register their potential ground-mounted solar sites to network with professionals and developers at the 2022 Virginia Solar Summit and receive complimentary tickets to attend the entire conference.

RICHMOND, Va. - March 28, 2022 - PRLog -- The country's largest, most-substantive solar energy and economic development conference, the 2022 Virginia Solar Summit, is continuing in-person programming in a grand return to the historic and gorgeous Altria Theater in beautiful downtown Richmond, Virginia April 27-28.

Landowners, communities and corporations with potential solar development sites are strongly encouraged to attend and explore the market viability of a ground-mounted solar power project on their site(s). In doing so, they may attend the entire conference at no cost for entering their potential site in the active networking program at the 2022 Virginia Solar Summit. During this "Solar Exchange" round-robin event each afternoon, participants meet 1-on1 for timed face-to-face sessions to exchange information before rotating on to the next participant. Like an old school social for solar, landowners with potential sites are paired with developers during the Solar Exchange to encourage project development, price discovery and organic connections in the market.

This networking-only, information-gathering event requires no sign ups or signatures beyond providing specific site information to receive complimentary registration to enjoy the entire 2022 Virginia Solar Summit experience, engage an elite educational program that includes breakout sessions specifically designed for landowners, and partake in breakfast, lunch and networking happy hour(s) each day.

Agency staff from the Virginia Department of Environment Quality, the Virginia Department of Energy, the State Corporation Commission, U.S. EPA, U.S. DOE and others will be on hand during these sessions to provide points of contact and offer overviews and insights into the many programs, grants, resources, case studies and best-practices now being harnessed by local, state and federal governments to encourage sustainable energy growth and catalyze homegrown economic development.

If you are a community, city, company or private landowner curious about siting solar energy on your real estate, then there's no better opportunity in 2022 to dig into the solar space, explore market potential directly or shop your RFP.

Co-hosted again by Virginia Energy, Virginia DEQ, Appalachian Voices and the West Virginia Brownfields Assistance Centers at West Virginia University, we hope you'll join us and many hundreds more in Richmond this April for the year's most enriching, engaging and action-oriented solar energy and economic development event anywhere!

Landowners across the region have already signed up thousands of acres to participate in the Solar Exchange, and space is limited, so anyone with a potential solar site is encouraged to sign their property up today via the Virginia Solar Summit website at: https://virginiasolarsummit.com/landowners
