Author PJ Thompson Shares a Fantasy Adventure in Her Book “The Isle of Fire & Ice: Book 1”

By: WebWire

Fantasy, adventure, destiny, and prophecy are the necessary elements of a great young-adult fantasy story. Many young readers would be drawn to the excitement of adventure, the realization of destiny, and the fulfillment of prophecy. Adventure stories have always opened doors to realms larger than our own, but they also depict characters who are immature at the time and are forced to become adults.

And that is the appeal of an adventure story—it draws the reader down a road that may never materialize in reality. However, they impart knowledge that we can use.

Dare and Bar, two young males, are the main characters in “The Isle of Fire & Ice.” They are both abandoned on an unfamiliar island, where they unwittingly fulfill their destiny as heroes. They are connected to an island prophecy that states two men will stand against a significant evil.

A place of great history and an ancient magic is the Island of Ice and Fire, as the name suggests. But the pair's arrival will also herald a fight against evil in a land that is also under the sway of darkness.

“The Isle of Fire & Ice's” emphasis on the two main characters realizing their value makes it particularly potent. Dare is seen at the beginning escaping from a life of serfdom, being followed by bounty hunters. While Bar, a young prince is saved by Dare after an accident, the two grow in ability, maturity, and intelligence as they forge a relationship via their exploits together. Although they are propelled by a prophecy, the pair isn't depicted reaping the benefits right away. Instead, as the novel progresses, we see them gain experience.

Additionally, it's crucial to emphasize the importance of education and experience for young readers. They will therefore survive their Island of Ice and Fire if the need arises.
