NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Airline stocks were in the red Friday as oil prices surpassed $74 a barrel, offsetting modest improvement in the fourth-quarter outlooks for many legacy carriers as business travel and international demand begin to pick up -- albeit ever so slightly.
