Top of the List: Burns & McDonnell, Black & Veatch switch spots & other engineering data

Kansas City-based engineering firm Burns & McDonnell has been on a growth streak that finally has pushed it beyond Black & Veatch. The perennial No. 2 on our Engineering Firms List overtook its Overland Park-based competitor by local licensed engineers and became No. 1 for the first time in at least 10 years.
