New York City, Nov 19, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Actor and model Shaun Melady is no stranger to the public eye and continues to focus his attention on the screen in a new Amazon Prime short film called "The Disturbance Call."
Recently named a New York City celebrity model through his work in various New York Fashion Week shows, Melady has continued his film work with Unit 11 Pictures on this 20-minute thriller.
"The Disturbance Call" begins with officers Phil Eriscon, played by Melady, and Marty Cruz, played by Israel Acevedo, arriving at a frantic woman's house. She is terrified by a strange visitor who keeps taunting her outside her home. The two officers do their best to calm her down.
The story continues to follow the two officers as they continue on their night shift, patrolling the streets.
The slow-burning story begins to ramp up as the description of the unwanted visitor at the woman's house turns out to be true, and much more sinister than the two officers expected.
Other recent productions Melady stars in to keep an eye out for our award-winning short film, "Abysmo," two Atlantic Records' web shows garnering over 11 million subscribers - "Labeled Series" and "Anya Marina: Indie-pendent Woman."
Early in his career, Melady hit the ground in full stride by landing three Off-Broadway plays, including Aeschylus' Greek tragedy, "The Persians," and two original works - "The Killers" and "Disconnected."
As earlier mentioned, Melady has also walked in both Fall and Spring New York Fashion Week settings in The SOCIETY Fashion Show and at the highly-esteemed Pier 59 Studios with Italian couture designer Elie Balleh Couture and other high-fashion brands. In addition to these shows, he also worked with designers Kuéne, Kevin Shahroozi Designs, Cindy Tran Fashion, Status Plus Fashions, and others.
Off the runway and into print and commercial industries, Melady has worked with Fortune 500 clients and men's wear brands. Names including Michelob Ultra, U.S. Navy, Tricots St. Raphael, Kane 11, and a variety of other brands.
