Consultant to Cambridge gene therapy firm charged with insider trading

A biotech consultant who advised Dimension Therapeutics on a potential acquisition in 2017 has been charged with insider trading. The 58-year-old man is facing parallel criminal charges from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts and civil charges from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison, five years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
