Lil Chris is again looking to disrupt the music scene, this time as an executive, as he announces the launch of a new record label. The Chicago rapper has partnered with entrepreneurs Nick Owens and Larry Lockwood to establish MoneyTalkzEnt, a new Midwest Independent Music Label that aims to bring new opportunities to local talents in and around Chicago.
The music and entertainment industry has grown over the years to become a multi-billion-dollar market. The increasing number of artists coming into the industry has made it more competitive and seemingly difficult for indie artists to make headway. Unfortunately, independent artists, who remain major contributors to the industry often, do not get the exposure to live their full potentials. However, Lil Chris is looking to chart a new course in the industry, especially for talents in Chicago, with the launch of MoneyTalkzEnt.
Lil Chris hopes to translate the success achieved as an independent artist and signed to an independent label Boss of Bosses to the newly established label. MoneyTalkzEnt already signed a talented act into their books, with Chicago’s very own Phaylo making the cut as the first artist to be managed by the label.
The 22-year-old has already shown his passion for music and is set to drop his new release titled “Sharks.” The song features Lil Chris and will be officially released on February 19th to be available on all major music platforms. Phaylo will also follow up the debut single with another potential hit to drop on February 26th.
