Both Garvin and Malloy are South Carolina natives with deep ties to the local community.
About Kambrell Garvin
Kambrell Garvin handles personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence and abuse cases. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, his MS.Ed. from Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and his B.A. from Winthrop University. While at Winthrop, Garvin was elected and served two terms as the Student Government President. He was also an ex-official member of the Board of Trustees and voting member of the 10th Presidential Search and Selection Committee.
A community leader from a young age – he organized his first voter registration drive at the ripe old age of 10 – Garvin worked as a public school teacher in Walterboro, SC, as part of the Teach for America initiative.
In 2018, while he was still attending law school, Garvin launched a grassroots campaign to run for office, to represent District 77 in the SC House of Representatives. He won both the primary and the general election with an overwhelming majority of the vote, and still serves the District as its Representative.
Garvin continues to be a community advocate, and is an active member of First Nazareth Baptist Church, Columbia Branch NAACP, SC Education Association, and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

About Donovan Malloy
Donovan Malloy handles personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence and abuse. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was an active member of the Matthew Perry Chapter of the Black Law Students Association and of the American Constitution Society. Malloy earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. Prior to transferring to the University of South Carolina, Donovan played football for two years, and was on the MEAC All-Academic Team.
Once he graduated, Malloy worked in the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina’s office as an executive assistant to both Yancey McGill and Henry McMaster. During his time in the office, Malloy focused on projects that increased resources available to South Carolina’s elderly population. While in law school, Malloy served as a law clerk to McMaster.
Malloy continues to advocate for the community he serves and is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Jerusalem Baptist Church.
“I’ve seen firsthand what good governance, grit, and commitment can do when it comes to improving the lives of people in my community,” Malloy said. “You need someone who can fight for you, and who can help you raise your voice.
