RWB Construction Supports Veterans

BOYNTON BEACH, FL / ACCESSWIRE / April 7, 2021 / The U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs reports there are 20 million veterans living in the United States. With over 1.5 million veterans living in Florida, our state ranks among the top three veteran-friendly states in the nation. These patriots add nearly 20 billion dollars annually into Florida's economy. Sadly, not all veterans come home to a warm welcome. Florida is home to thousands of homeless and struggling veterans. Some reports estimate Florida's homeless veteran numbers to be between 2400-5000 former soldiers. People who fought for our country abroad now look for food on our streets. This is an issue that Robert Burrage, Owner, and CEO of RWB Construction Management, takes very personally.

Robert Burrage was in the Marine Corps for four years. He gained veteran status with a nine-month deployment as part of the 24th MEU in the Persian Gulf. Robert later used the funds he earned from his time in the military to help pay for a college degree. Graduating with a degree in Construction Management, Robert worked his way to the top of his field. RWB Construction Management is a full-service luxury construction company specializing in building and maintaining custom oceanfront estates. The RWB professional team strategizes, manages, and executes every detail of the construction process for their clients. RWB Construction consistently delivers high-quality results with unmatched turnaround times.

The struggle for some veterans in Florida has put a burden on Robert's heart. He regularly helps families of those who served in the military and actively looks to hire veterans as part of the RWB team. Recently, Robert hired an Army veteran diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder to do property maintenance. In his time in the Army, this soldier served in one deployment to Afghanistan in 2001, and he spent three tours in Iraq between 2002-2005. After his time in the Army ended, he ended up living in a shed in Alabama and looking for employment.

Upon hearing this, Robert moved this Army veteran from Alabama to South Florida in 2019 and arranged for him to live at his office until he could find an apartment. He helped him get his driver's license, find a car, and he gave him a good job. More recently, Robert asked his orthodontist, Dr. Scott McCranels, to help fix his new employee's teeth. Periodontal Specialists Dr. Damerau and Dr. Gutierrez were called in, and they are providing their services at cost. This former soldier will soon have a brand-new set of teeth to smile about, thanks to the RWB team.

If you are a veteran, thank you for your service. If you are the spouse or family member of a veteran, thank you for your dedicated support.
