The Guardians of Peace Aims to Empower Children With Look Into Meditation, Diversity, Energy, and Inner StrengthKids’ game designed to inspire family conversations about important concepts.

One new video game is poised to change the way parents and children look at everything. Debbie Petry Artt is excited to announce the official launch of her new game, The Guardians of Peace. The new game is an app-based video game for children and aims to promote conversations between kids and parents about life-changing concepts ranging from energy to purpose and more.

“We need to empower our children with knowledge,” says Artt, who created the storyline for The Guardians of Peace after contemplating the dark forces that confront children every day. She wanted to come up with a way to teach children about their inner energy and how they can calm their minds using meditation, but Artt wanted to make it fun.

The Guardians of Peace beautifully gamifies this concept while honing in on nine special key words that Artt hopes parents and kids will talk about while and after playing: purpose, gratitude, love, meditate, energy, kind, Qigong, soul, and blessing.

Qigong is a thousands year old study of body posture and movement that integrates aspects of breathing and meditation as a comprehensive way to focus on and improve mental and physical health.

Of course, kids don’t see the strategy so plainly. They enjoy playing as the character Diego, a young squire who wants to become a paladin in The Guardians of Peace Corps as a Darkling invasion led by Commander Selfish ensues. Players use the seven unique energies of the universe to harness inner powers through meditation and drive back the seven hordes including Sloth, Fear, and Hate into the dark dimension.

“This needs to be more than a moment. It needs to be a movement that constantly reminds children that they have the inner strength to accomplish anything they want to do in life without violence,” said Artt.

While many video games have a reputation of being violent, The Guardians of Peace does the exact opposite by encouraging children to learn why violence is wrong and how they can avoid it. Parents can play along with their children and also take part in these foundational conversations. Statistics clearly show the correlation between these bonding moments and a child’s psychological well being.

The Guardians of Peace can be downloaded for free now on the App Store and Google Play. Soon, the game will be making its official debut on XBox and Playstation. More information can be found at http://www.theguardiansofpeace.com.
