Charlotte, NC: April 21, 2021 – The influence of the millennial will shape the future of the banking industry, CEO Illich Martinez outlines in his new book.

Illich’s $68 Trillion Tsunami, The Impending Largest Transfer of Wealth in History” reveals how the lack of digital transition in banking institutions could be their downfall while highlighting the innovations coming forward in the capital markets space.

As the co-founder and CEO of Camino Ventures, he is regarded as a visionary technology leader with an extensive and successful career delivering business value at scale. Some of his key accomplishments include launching new businesses that have generated greater than $1B in revenue and managed assets valued at more than $250B.

His new book, which is set to drop on Friday, sees him argue that the millennial and their saving and spending habits should not be dismissed by the banking industry. He writes: “Millennials are already fleeing their partnerships with traditional banking institutions and into the arms of smaller, tech-driven organizations.

“The storm coming is not a flash flood; it won’t be dramatic or sudden. Instead, it will be an imperceptibly slow change. It will begin slowly, like a Tsunami, but ultimately, its power will be overwhelming.

“As this money begins to shift hands, the banks who served and acquired millennial customers will reap the rewards of their foresight. Banks who fail to heed these warnings, those who are unwilling to fully commit to a tech-centric identity, will be left in the storm without a paddle.”

He sets out exactly what banks need to expect in the years to come and the unconventional strategies banks can use to attract millennials, and ways they can reorganize their infrastructure to compete with their faster and smarter opponents.

“With all change comes opportunity, and for those who are tuned in, who understand the changes and have an actionable plan to address them, the payouts will be enormous,” he states.

In this compulsively reading book, he believes that traditional banks could fall just as the Kodaks and Blackberries of the world did. “Right now, there is a financial tsunami on its way, and financial institutions are lining the boardwalk.

“As we see the foundations of modern banking slip, and these changes to the industry begin to materialize, traditional banks will find themselves amongst the most vulnerable.”
