New Use Energy Officially Launches the SunKit Nexus line of Portable Solar Generators

By: PRLog

TEMPE, Ariz. - July 7, 2021 - PRLog -- New Use Energy Solutions, Inc. (NUE) is excited to announce the SunKit Nexus line of portable solar power generators – reliable, flexible and powerful solar storage solutions that bring affordable clean energy to anyone, anywhere.

Fundamentally, the Nexus is a pre-wired electronics panel that embraces the definition of its name and acts as the base to the larger NUE SunKit product lineup.  Designed for quick and easy set-up, reliability and affordability, the SunKit Nexus is a powerful and flexible solar-power and lithium battery energy storage system. The SunKit Nexus can replace small gasoline or diesel generators.  Its open format with power electronics and wiring on a sturdy backplane makes it possible to service, modify and upgrade the system and its components in the field. This will allow users to use their own enclosure to save costs and allow for customization. It can also be mounted for stationary off-grid and backup power applications. It is flexible enough to use with any commercial solar PV panel (1 to 6 panels) or to charge quickly from an AC source and allows a range of electrical loads (AC and DC).  A unique battery priority setting on the inverter only uses the grid when necessary so you can power from solar or battery as much as possible.

The SunKit Nexus comes in a variety of standard options and packages. System voltages range from 12, 24 and 48 volts with battery capacities ranging from 2kWh to 5kwh of storage. NUE takes pride in only using LiFePO4 (lithium ferrous phosphate) batteries that are a safer alternative to nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) or lead-acid.

The SunKit Nexus offers specialized utility to a broad range of markets such as disaster response operations, residential off-grid, remote locations and worksites, RVs and more. "The Nexus is inspired by pre-wired 'powerboards' that professional off-grid PV installers around the world have used for over 30 years," says Eric Youngren, EVP of Product Development at NUE. "Off-grid solar projects tend to be in rural and remote locations. Pre-wiring the major components on a panel or a 'powerboard' in a shop back in town allows the installer in the field to reduce the number of procedures required to install the system. We have taken it a step further so that all the input and output connections use standardized 'plug and play' wiring connectors."
