Denver, Colorado-based Techtonic Inc. announced today that the company ranked in the top three as "Best for Workers" by B Corp, the organization that tracks B Corporations and their performance to its global standards.

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. According to B Corps, these firms accelerate a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive, sustainable economy.

Techtonic focuses on filling demand for onshore software developers into U.S. software development teams. The company's rigorous recruitment and training programs accept just 10 percent of applicants. According to Nicole Craine, CEO, Techtonic primarily seeks to develop people from underrepresented demographics to leapfrog into salaried software engineering jobs.

"Each cohort of new programmers that we recruit is about 35 percent more diverse than the average U.S. high-tech workforce," stated Craine. "Women who complete a Techtonic program, for instance, increase their household incomes by more than 150 percent, moving into a new career in high tech."

Craine referred to reports by Bureau of Labor Statistics and studies about race and gender disparities in the tech sector. One cited is Wired magazine's report that major brands, like Apple, still struggle, despite best efforts, to recruit and develop more African Americans and women into jobs as software developers.

Woman-founded and woman-led, Techtonic recently passed the American Council on Education's credentialing program, following a peer faculty review of its software engineering program. Graduates may now be eligible for as many as 36 college credits upon completing work at Techtonic. Learn more at techtonic.com.
