Throughout his time as a lawyer and business owner, Jim has focused on the legal needs of family-owned and closely-held businesses, along with asset protection and estate preservation. Jim received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, then continued on to earn his Juris Doctorate at the University of Georgia School of Law. Jim's many years in business law includes areas of business owner conflict resolution, franchise law, trade secret protection, corporation advice, restrictive covenants, and general business transactions, and more. He also has litigation experience in these sectors, along with divorce practice for business owners and probate disputes. In addition to his experience in business law, he also has handled cases involving estate planning, wills, trusts and estates, and probate services. He has served in jury, bench trials, and appeals in all state and federal courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals.
