Clubmate launches app to help Bailiffs identify unauthorised anglers

The new software is designed to create safer fishing environments for clubs, bailiffs, and anglers alike.

September 17, 2021 / /

The UK’s number one fishing club & fishery management platform has revealed the official launch of its latest tool, a dedicated Bailiff app to help bailiffs identify whether an angler is permitted to fish or not.

A Simple App For Android And iOS

The new app, which is available on both iOS and Android platforms, empowers bailiffs of fishing clubs and fisheries by enabling instant verification of an angler’s credentials. The platform allows the user to complete a range of tasks to confirm a person’s authorisation and act accordingly if they are not permitted to fish.

App capabilities include checking membership and ticket details, confirming whether payments have been made, reviewing prior disciplinaries, and adding notes to the system as required. The bailiff can additionally check an angler’s photo directly from their smartphone, removing the need to carry printed lists or communicate with colleagues to check whether an angler has paid or not.

The system also incorporates a payment system, allowing bailiffs to sell day tickets or memberships via debit and credit card payments to any unauthorised angler who subsequently wants to gain a permit.

Clubmate’s new app is set to be an immensely popular tool with volunteers & fishery staff at its community of over 200 fishing clubs and fisheries. However, it also offers a range of benefits for Anglers too. Anglers will be able to manage their bookings, renew memberships and keep their details up to date. Likewise, reducing the need for face-to-face interactions is ideal for social distancing purposes.

Furthermore, bailiffs will only be able to access limited data, ensuring GDPR compliance is upheld at all times, meaning that anglers can be assured that their details are safe. The app also enables fishing organisations to collect vital participation and attendance data, thus encouraging them to learn from statistical data and produce safer fishing environments and better experiences for all.

The new Clubmate app is the first tool of its kind dedicated to making life easier for bailiffs to do their jobs properly, without jeopardising data protection for anglers. Its user-friendly interface is built to support bailiffs of varying tech literacy levels. Its instant data processing capabilities are set to make it a game changer for fisheries and fishing clubs alike.
