Other Community Partners include MCR Health in Palmetto, Florida, and V103 Radio Station in Atlanta, GA.

AUSTELL, GA, October 02, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- V103 Atlanta Radio Personality and Social Media Influencer, Christina "Ms. Basketball" Granville and her non-profit organization, I Hoop Too Foundation, have partnered with Krystal to host the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness 5K/3K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, October 23. The assembly location will be the Riverside EpiCenter in Austell, Georgia. This outdoor event is open to both participants and guests and features a timed 5K race, a 5K / 3K FUN RUN / WALK, live DJ, vendor village, food trucks and more! It's a great family atmosphere and an amazing opportunity to celebrate and support the resilient women and men affected by Breast Cancer. All registered participants will be entered to win a year of free Krystal burgers, courtesy of the chain known for its hot and steamy little bites of joy.

Ms. Basketball's support for breast cancer stems from her mother's triumph over the disease in 2005. Her goal for this event is to bring awareness to the number of people affected by breast cancer while also uplifting and encouraging the millions of women and men who fight daily to survive and thrive against the disease.

Also featured at the event is the presentation of the Peacock Award for Perseverance, which honors a survivor who has defied the odds against breast cancer and who has chosen to live a vibrant, dedicated life of service to others. This year's honoree will be Alice Crowder, Chief Marketing Officer for Krystal Restaurants. Crowder is a long-term survivor of the disease and has never let it impair her drive or her passions; she will be honored in an 8:30 a.m. ceremony before the race begins at 9 a.m.

The name and concept for the award derives from the maiden name of Christina's mother, Mrs. Catherine Peacock Granville. Mrs. Granville has always lived a life of service and just like Christina, she is beautiful and FULL of energy! It's also a play on words because peacocks are beautiful and vibrant birds.

I Hoop Too Foundation is also teaming up with Breast Cancer Thriver April Smith and the Atlanta non-profit organization, The Survivor's Nest, to raise money to provide education and economic resources to breast cancer patients during and after treatment. The Survivor's Nest and April Smith are also being recognized with the Pink Ribbon Community Service Award for the work they do surrounding women's health and wellness specifically in the Breast Cancer Community.

Other Community Partners include MCR Health in Palmetto, Florida, and V103 Radio Station in Atlanta, GA. 5K/3K Participants may register here or at www.active.com and search "Ms. Basketball's Breast Cancer 5K".
