AllyU is an emotional wellness social network non-profit that aims to improve mental wellbeing by connecting people with a community of supportive, friendly and non-judgmental peers.

Highland Park, IL – November 02, 2021 – Life is going to have times of joy and times of sadness. When life gets to be too overwhelming or too painful, often what’s needed is an ally to help you through. In that light, a new non-profit organization, AllyU.org, has come up with a private emotional wellness social network platform that aims to connect people in a safe space with a community of compassionate peers, that can encourage and assist you on a path to emotional wellness.

AllyU is an endeavor by a seasoned mental health clinician from Chicago who founded the emotional wellness social network platform after observing a serious lack of accessible and affordable support for people in need of mental health support.

In an exclusive interview, the AllyU.org founder shared that they are driven by the mission to help the community members bridge the gap between where they are and where they wish to be by connecting them with a village of positive-minded supportive people who have already been there or are there and can help others to navigate through life’s challenges. The platform extends their peer support services with; resources, tools, and volunteer opportunities for all who have the desire to improve their mental health and be there for another.

“We are a private social network dedicated to improving the mental wellbeing of our community members. Our online platform is bustling with 65+ peer support groups in our forums that extend a safe and friendly peer-to-peer interaction opportunity to know that you are not alone. You can find an ally, an empathetic friend who will be willing to share and encourage you through a break up, a stressful situation, a loss of a loved one, struggling to manage your own mental illness, or whatever is going on in your world. We give you the tools to take control of your life, to overcome the obstacles you face, and to feel the sense of accomplishment that comes along with helping others do the same”, stated the founder of AllyU.org.

Added to the Group Forums, AllyU also offers a Resource Directory that enables members to find resources for a wide range of essential services, including but not limited to housing, food, legal aid, support groups, vet services, and more.

“We also have an extensive Self-help Library packed with videos, worksheets, interactive learning, articles, and more. Our online Self-help Library is a trusted tool to help guide and educate on over 16 different topics. Topics like; stress, anger, relationships, depression, self-esteem and mindfulness.”

AllyU.org is only limited by its community’s involvement. By sharing a personal experience or a trusted resource in the directory, volunteering, and/or donating, will only help enrich all AllyU members. AllyU.org is a 501(c)(3), operating solely on donations.
