Bump in the Road came about thanks to a bump in the road. More specifically, Covid-19. A sister site, CancerRoadTrip.com, was on track to give people amazing bucket list trips, and then to capture it all on film for education and inspiration. Think transformational travel set against some of the world’s most iconic locations.
Then Covid-19 hit. What was one to do?

So that’s what the podcast does. With creator and host Pat Wetzel, each week the podcast takes listeners on a global tour of the human experience, sharing timeless stories of hope, perseverance and resilience.
The upcoming book explores some of the common themes of nearly two years of weekly podcasts. Themes ranging from isolation to connection; themes on gratitude and giving; and thoughts on the role of courage, trust, and adventure in finding one’s life path.
The book is set to be released in both a print and interactive edition.
