Ancora Wellness and Kara Kazemba, LCSW, are pleased to announce that the counseling and therapy center has reached a milestone of six years in operation. Since 2016, the Center has been offering grounded wellness without restrictions to area residents. At Ancora Wellness, the basis of therapy is that everyone has the right to feel whole and well on their timeline, with the support which feels right to them. A permission slip or a formal diagnosis from the insurance company should not be necessary to receive help for the total person.
Ancora Wellness was founded on the unique and radical concept that patients should not need to have something wrong to receive care. Patients deserve to have wellness options available to them, regardless of how they feel. Unfortunately, Western medical practices rely almost exclusively on a wait for diagnoses that have a medical billing code available. The medical practices also revolve around what the insurance company will or will not pay when someone needs care. This process can be both harmful and wrong.

Ancora Wellness offers inclusive and holistic care based on the understanding that wellness needs can change daily. The type of therapy which feels helpful and supportive one week may not be a good fit the following week. The professional team works with each patient to determine the proper care at the right time to help with optimum health. The services include everything from mental health counseling to massage to nutrition to boost the mind, body, and soul. A medical diagnosis or approval from the insurance carrier is not necessary to receive services at Ancora.
The Hillsboro center has a team of practitioners who collaborate in order to provide services in Body Work, Mental Health, and Medical. No diagnosis is necessary. In-person and TeleHealth services are available.
