Allot Deploys DPI Solution at Two Tier 1 Mobile Operators to Deliver Value- Added and Tiered Service Packages

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allot Communications (NASDAQ:ALLT), a leader in IP service optimization solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), today announced that it has added two leading Tier 1 mobile carriers to its mobile customer base. The two mobile operators, in Europe and Asia Pacific, have been using the Allot DPI solution to provide tiered services for their 3G data-service subscribers.

With mobile operators now offering unlimited access packages to their data subscribers, they are increasingly challenged to optimize their service delivery and increase their ARPU. The granular visibility enabled by the Allot NetEnforcer and Subscriber Management Platform lets them monitor the network on a per-subscriber, per-application basis. Allot NetEnforcer allows the operators to ensure equitable bandwidth to all users by preventing network congestion. The solution also enables them to prioritize revenue-generating applications traversing their data access networks in-line with business objectives.

Allot's unique Subscriber Management Platform integrates with the mobile operator's authentication system to enable the enforcement of a unique policy per user. They can then use Allot's centralized management system, the NetXplorer, to create customized policies to enrich their service offering with tiered service packages designed to meet real-time subscriber needs and increase their ARPU.

"We were pleased to add these major operators to our large and increasing mobile operator customer base. By working with a number of these operators, we have gained a good understanding of the challenges they face to differentiate the service packages they offer to different customer types," commented Rami Hadar, Allot CEO and president. "With the demand for IP services on mobile devices constantly on the rise, Allot's DPI service optimization solution makes it possible for mobile operators to personalize service packages."
