Northern Trust Asset Management Names Head of Strategic Accounts, Intermediary

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), a leading global investment management firm with $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of March 31, 2024, announced today that Hugh Ansty, CFA, has joined as Head of Strategic Accounts, Intermediary.

In this role, Ansty will lead sales and client relationship strategy in the intermediary market for NTAM’s Wealth Client Group. He holds a key leadership role on the team responsible for deepening client relationships, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth. Ansty reports to NTAM Wealth Client Group Co-Heads Suzanne Casey and Sunitha C. Thomas.

“Hugh’s industry knowledge and expertise, along with his passion for delivering exceptional client service, will be pivotal to growing our presence and strengthening our client relationships in the intermediary wealth management market,” Casey said.

“Hugh is an accomplished sales leader with a record of building high-performing teams, developing strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth. With his addition to the team, we are confident NTAM will continue to meet and exceed the expectations and investment needs of our clients,” Thomas said.

Ansty is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience as a senior leader in sales and distribution. Most recently, he was Head of National Accounts at Hilton Capital Management. Prior to that he held leadership roles at BlackRock, Merrill Lynch, Pioneer Investments, and Evergreen Investments. Ansty is a CFA® charterholder and holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the College of William & Mary.
